Are any discounts available for access passes?

If you belong to any of the categories listed below we are pleased to offer a 20% discount  on Leader, Gold or Silver passes after the end of the early bird period and up to 13 November 2013 (23:59h CET time zone).  Please contact your Telecom Account manager for discount registration codes, or email for assistance.

Note: Only full price rates will apply for access passes sales on-site.

Student passes are available onsite only.  A maximum of 100 Student passes will be available for purchase on a first-come-first-served basis when onsite registration opens on 16 November at 8:30.  To be eligible, you must be in full-time education and able to present at the registration desk a valid student ID card issued by a recognized educational establishment.

ITU Connect Asia Pacific Summit
Connect attendees can register for a free of charge Bronze World 2013 access pass or benefit from 20% discount when purchasing Gold, Silver & Leader passes, but only if such Passes are not obtained through a different channel and purchased on-line from 16 September until 13 November 2013 (23:59h CET time zone).

To enjoy these benefits Connect attendees should click here to start registering, enter their email, tick the box to indicate they have a registration code and when prompted enter their Connect Registration ID.

Can children attend the event?

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend any of the activities at World 2013.

Can I cancel or transfer my pass if I am no longer able to attend?

Transfer can be done upon request before 13 November (23:59 CET time).  No transfers will be possible as from 14 November.

Can I register as press?

To register as press you must be accredited with ITU.  The accreditation process will open in September 2013.

Can I register onsite?

You will be able to register onsite for all categories of Pass.  However, we strongly recommend pre-registration to avoid the queues.

Only full price rates will apply for access passes sales on-site.

How can I order goods and services for my stand (e.g. furniture, catering, technical services etc)?

The URL and code to access the Online Technical Manual will be sent to the focal points of confirmed showfloor participants by mid August 2013.

How can my company participate in ITU Telecom World 2013?

How do I collect my pass to access the event?

When you register you will receive a confirmation email.  Please bring this with you and present it at the Fast Track Desks in the registration area along with your official photo ID.  Please note that passes must be collected personally by the pass holder as a photograph will be taken and printed onto the badge for access control security.

How do I purchase passes on behalf of a group?

Group purchases request forms are available online as from 25 July until 31 October. As from 16 November group purchases are welcome on-site.

How do I register for the event?

How do ITU Telecom World events differ from other ICT events?

ITU Telecom World events are unique in that they are the only ICT event that brings together the right mix of global ICT leaders to discuss and debate the key issues facing the ICT industry.  As the leading UN Agency for ICT issues, only ITU has the power to convene this mix of leaders of government and industry.  Our World 2013 event will once again facilitate and encourage the right discussions, high-level engagements and strategic debate to generate real action and deliver tangible results.

Networking opportunities

Networking is a fundamental element of World 2013. Once I have registered how can I upgrade my pass?

To upgrade your pass after you have registered, please send a copy of your original confirmation email along with full details of the upgrade request to   You will be contacted to process the applicable payment.  Full payment must be received before the upgrade is validated.

What are the assembly/dismantling dates and times?

Assembly 6 days (12 to 17 November inclusive)
Hall access hours:
12 November: 14:00 to 24:00 hrs.
13 to 15 November 08:00 to 24:00 hrs.
16 November: 24hr access
17 November: 8:00 to 20:00 hrs. All stands must be completely constructed, furnished, decorated and with all exhibits in place by 22:00 hrs on 17 November.  After this time the halls must be vacated for cleaning and carpet laying.
Dismantling: 1 day -(23 November)
Hall access hours: These will be communicated to exhibitors, together with full dismantling instructions, prior to event closure on 22 November, when only the removal of hand-carried items will be permitted.

What are the hall access hours?

What is the expected attendance and audience profile?
